Today Abby is 3 months old! It wasn't a huge day in terms of progress, she didn't go backwards, we just didn't really go forwards either. She still is not sleeping. Last night she got some pretty strong drugs which did knock her out for a good part of the night. Today we tried rocking, reading, singing, and even bringing in her bouncy seat from home and putting that in her crib. She did close her eyes for 10 minutes in the bouncy seat - pictured above - but since then it hasn't worked. They'd really like to avoid using drugs again - we don't want an addict on our hands - but Abby's not giving in! Such a bad sign of things to come in her teenage years.

Sweet Abby can you please send me some of your stay up late party genes? I somehow seem to always want to crash in the evening and would love to be able to get just a little more done before my bed time. Let me know your secret. At my age the kind of drugs they have given you would probably send me to the E.R. with a heart attack! Sending lots of love and prayers to you.

Happy Birthday Abby! You do look so cute in that bow!!! Keep up the great progress! I am sure you will feel much better the more time you spend in Mommy's arms:) We hope you two are surviving! We will give you a call over the weekend and get that promised food to you asap!
Love,

Happy Birthday sweet girl! I just love your ability to accessorize... the diaper, bow and socks are the start of a huge fashion trend, I can feel it! You look great in all of your pictures and I especially love those kissable cheeks!

Abby sure looks like she's in sweet repose. Can't wait to see the party animal in person. Tell Abby I check her blog multiple times a day - just checking to be sure she's behaving herself.
Hugs and prayers,
Luayne

Ok, I don't know who has more in common with Abby, Lila and her wardrobe or Johnny with all the medical stuff. But let me tell you we have plenty of pictures of John in the PICU in his bouncy seat. Don't you wish you had invented something like that?! Slow and steady sweet Abby - you have been through more in your short life than most of us have in our entire lifetimes - so you are entitled to call the shots for now. When you get older, that's an enirely different story! Chris & Linz we hope you are feeling sustained by the countless prayers for you both(if not, I'll send down more bark!) With lots of love - Missy, Paul...

You make me laugh. I am sure her teen years will be smooth sailing. There is only so much one child can make her parents withstand! At least that is what I am hoping for!
